Mapale Matsike who
resides at Soshanguve block BB is a member of Men in Broken Hearts (MBH),
defines the purpose of the organisation as to
help men who encounter challenges related to social life and as well as the boy
child,
who usually faces
challenges at the stage of their upbringing in assistance with other
organisations, that are in collaboration.
“At the moment there’s
a big gap between a boy and a father so our aim as MBH is to bridge that gap”
as he further mentioned.
Thomas Mnisi from
Soshanguve Jukulyne from Motho Phaphama organisation encouraged what is done by
Men in Broken heart as a good thing to be done
Since most young boys’ experience
being left off by their fathers at a young age and anger issues from their
experiences,
So being in the
environment such as Soshanguve block BB where there are organisations such as
MBH who aim to bridge a gap between the farther and son relationship it
empowers them as black fathers.
Lucky Mahlangu who is
the founder of Men in Broken Hearts which was founded in 2024 describes their
aim as to empower and support men,
“With this support
group you can call us 24/7 and we will be there to listen”,
he further mentioned that with this event they
learned that as fathers there’s a lot they can learn from young people, and
they intend to build future leaders

This event brought
fathers and sons together for a meaningful day of connection and understanding,
Through open
discussions, they shared the challenges they face as men, exchanging ideas and
support.
Games were played
between fathers and sons with the lesson to take it as a problem but be treated
as solutions, to think deeper and come up with solid solutions.
