Beauty with Purpose: Black Barbie Ambassador Shines on the Catwalk

 Keabetswe Sedibane, a 21-year-old from Ga-Phaahla Village, the bright new star

 talented young woman recently took the catwalk by storm in her first major modelling competition in March 2025.

As a proud ambassador for Black Barbie, Keabetswe embodies confidence,

Beauty, and determination.

Keabetswe was participating in her first modelling competition,

as she joined this competition because she had insecurities when she grew up

 but she chose to join this competition because she wanted to overcome some of her issues.

 

With hope to accept herself and overcome fearing public speaking,

“I hope to inspire those young people who also have the same challenges as me”

she commented.

She grew up in a very supportive family that always encouraged her to be in beauty pageant,

“because of my body shape, because of them, I knew I wanted to see myself in the modelling industry” she said.

Keabetswe said her participation in the pageant is not just about personal achievement,

but it is also about representing her community and serving as a role model for young girls who look up to her as a source of inspiration,

highlighting her story as coming from perseverance, determination, and a strong belief in herself.

 

Keabetswe’s journey to Miss Black Barbie Ambassador Pageant finals is a testament to her newfound self-confidence.

 

After a period of self-reflection last year, she made a conscious decision to accept and appreciate herself, which led her to join the pageant.

She aims to use her platform to help others overcome insecurities and pursue their dreams, promoting self-love.

 

As she was preparing for the final round, she mentioned that she made a positive impact as an ambassador for a PrEP HIV/AIDS prevention project,

 

educating her community about HIV prevention and advocating for mental and sexual health among young people

 

With the hopes and dreams of many resting on her shoulders, Keabetswe is poised to make a lasting impression, both in the pageant and beyond.
